Exotic Water Springs in Nusa Penida, Bali



The charm of natural beauty in Nusa Penida has been widely known by local and overseas tourists. This place is a small island located in the southeast of the island of Bali precisely located in Kelungkung regency, the island is separated by the strait of Badung. There are 2 small islands adjacent to Nusa Penida such as Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. This island is the largest island when compared with 2 other islands. There is a story about the water spring, there used to be a pregnant mother who searched for her missing cow in the middle of the forest and accidentally pregnant women find springs. Because the founder of this spring is the Pregnant Mom, called "Tembeling" water spring. "Tembeling" is the Balinese language that means "Pregnant". Since that time many people who use these springs for daily needs, besides that this place is very sacred by local residents, this spring is also a holy water that is usually used in traditional Balinese ceremonies. There are 2 pools around the place there is a large and small pool. There is a ban on women being banned from swimming in large pools and only allowed in small ponds.



Large pools have a depth of 3-6 meters, while a small pond has a depth of only 50 cm. The beauty of nature is very beautiful, the reflection of green from moss in the eyes of this water is very fascinating. It is clear that the water seems to be a very clear glass. Many of the sounds of Bali Starling birds and other birds that add to the natural beauty of this Nusa Penida. These springs are also a source of water for all the animals in this forest. In the vicinity, there is some sacred temple such as  Pembuhan Tembeling Temple located beside the holy spring, Batu Bolong Temple as a guard temple, Pesimpangan Ratu Kanjeng Temple which is the largest temple there and Taman Panca Gangga Temple which serves as guard Temple entrance in the spring.
